• How secure is our information? What security measures do you use?

  Our data is located in a state of the art data center. The databases and files are protected using 1024bit encryption; the same level used for online banking. The passwords for all servers are complex and consist of letters, numbers and special characters, and are at least 12 characters in length.

• Does your web portal provide "building level" features?

  While the term "building level" features can mean a lot of things, we do in fact offer such features. Our product is built for the building and its owners. It provides features to manage the building such as visitor parking and parcel management, while providing information and real-time booking to owners.

• Who is responsible for backing up data?

  We take care of the backup for all our Nexus clients. As an IT company nothing is more important to us than client data. While many hosting companies and providers have it in their contracts that the client is responsible, we do not think that is acceptable.

  We do a full backup daily of the files AND databases. We can have your backup information in hours and even minutes.

• Is Nexus just a website? What exactly is a web portal?

  I.T. Terminology had always meant different things to different people. Our product is a website, by definition that it resides on the internet, however our product is much more than that. A web portal is a combination of Internet and Intranet. We provide dynamic, real-time information to the public and to the owners. Owners receive a secure username and PIN # to access private information.

• Can this integrate with Accounting Programs?

  The data is exportable to any database format for use in any program. Accounting programs are also able to provide your web portal with information. We frequently have different accounting programs post the owner ledgers to the sites.

• Do you charge a licensing fee?

  No. There are no licensing fees as we own the entire source code and program. Nexus has been created internally, leaving us with 100% control of support and enhancements.

• We have multiple buildings in our Corporation. Can we use Nexus?

  Absolutely. Nexus can support and manage many buildings and corporations within a single portal. If the buildings are different corporations we can provide "common" elements while keeping corporation specific items (By-Laws, Rules and Regulations etc) private to the respective corporation. www.rosedalevillage.ca is just one example of 7 different corporations using 1 common web portal site.

• What can security or the concierge do? Do they have full access to all the data?

  Security has read-only rights to the owner information. This provides them with all the information they need to do their jobs, but protects the owners from unwanted changes. They can also book various amenities on behalf of owners, manage parcel delivery, and create incident reports. Click here for a full list of features. Security and Concierge Access can also be customized to meet the requirements of the Corporation.

• I want a unique design to reflect my "style" of building. Do you provide this or are you a template system?

  All our clients have truly unique sites. We take the time and care to ensure the building you bought into reflects in your web portal. We have a photographer take pictures of your corporation to use in the design of your portal, as well as for your image gallery.

  We are not a "boxed solution" or template based company.

  Others simply change 1 photo and call it "unique", we go the extra mile. We provide up to 3 different templates and work with you to ultimately get the right look. View our portfolio for some of our work.

• Do you build and support your own program or is it a 3rd party?

  We own 100% of the rights to our entire program. This is important, because you will never be left in the cold if the 3rd party company leaves or stops supporting the other software.

• How am I notified of changes, notices, parcel deliveries?

  Functions that require your notification are sent 2 ways: Email and private messaging. You do not need to go into the site to get notified.

  You can specify any valid email address and our system will deliver it to you.
